Corporate Culture and Project Management

Gist:
Since the coronavirus outbreak, the nature of projects has diversified. While virtual project teams are becoming more common, the value of physically coming together to complete projects is being reconsidered. This kind of diversification depends on the nature of the project, but I feel that corporate culture has a big influence as well. This time, I would like to introduce how corporate culture is treated in the PMBOK Guide, and then think about the influence that corporate culture has on project management.

Implementation report:
This time, there were a total of three group discussions during the lecture, and the most interesting was the discussion on Japanese corporate fraud. There was an opinion that if high mobility of people could prevent fraud, then it would be better not to have a half-hearted corporate culture that resembles village rules. Furthermore, when it comes to corporate philosophy and corporate culture, no matter what form it takes, in the past, even in Japanese companies, all managers and employees must have shared the same and served as the driving force for the company. In today's world of diversified values, some people felt that the best practices of companies around the world, where employees come from diverse backgrounds, would be helpful.
