Positioned as a continuation of the study session by volunteer members that started in 2021, we received an explanation of trends in energy conservation policies based on the content obtained from the study session on the theme of "new energy fields and energy conservation."Recently, we often hear the topic of carbon neutrality and renewable energy, but it seems that there are few reports on the topic of energy conservation.Under such circumstances, he explained in an easy-to-understand manner about current efforts in Japan, the revised Energy Conservation Law, and international trends.Especially in emerging and developing countries, high-efficiency air conditioners are often not selected due to high initial costs, which seemed to symbolize the difficulty of this problem. It was a valuable opportunity to recognize that there are things that individuals, companies, and the nation should do about energy conservation, and that it is a problem both near and far.
