Day 1

On Day 1, we gave a keynote speech and two lectures by member lecturers.The keynote speech was given by Professor Emeritus Hiroshi Murase, a specially appointed professor at Nagoya University, on the theme of "driving support through image recognition and watching over people."I think that many people first learned about how to perceive things when humans take action and the importance of driving support functions based on cognitive mechanisms.I felt the importance of the development of image recognition technology and the research currently being conducted in that image recognition can be applied not only to driving support but also to various aspects of life.In Lecture 1, Mr. Ishihama provided a unique topic such as the application of AI to the treatment of floating garbage on the sea.I was impressed by the fact that open innovation is effective for technological development such as autonomous driving.In Lecture 2, Mr. Ishii introduced his efforts to create a smart factory at his workplace. I learned that DX and IoT are not something that can be done immediately, and that steady work is essential.

 On Day 2, two lectures were given by member lecturers.In Lecture 3, Mr. Suzuki explained the analysis contents of what hinders the spread of BIM / CIM.It was thought that the multi-layered structure, which can be said to be a characteristic of the Japanese construction industry, may be the cause of the top companies who should consider the total system losing their total perspective.In Lecture 4, Baba members gave a lecture from Germany, where they work, and explained the outline of Industrie 4.0 and the contents of the open / close strategy.I was impressed by the explanation that it is necessary to show use cases as a link between standards and mission / purpose, and only engineers can analyze use cases.
