Mr. Keishi Minami, a JSPE member, provided a topic on the theme of "Engineering of steam turbine plants and case studies".He explained the engineering process, how to read the heat balance diagram, and why the regeneration / reheat cycle leads to improved thermal efficiency.While the basic mechanism of the turbine has not changed since long ago, it was impressive that the efficiency of engineering work is improving, such as the use of 3D models in the design, and the difference in scale between biomass power plants and nuclear power plants. ..
