At JSPE, a full-day seminar "JSPE Day" was held with the aim of allowing PE members, PEN / FE / AF / ST members, and non-members to exchange technology more widely across regional barriers such as Kanto and Kansai. We are doing it.After all sessions, there will be a small social gathering at each of the Tokyo and Kobe venues. For those who are going to acquire PE from now on, it is also an opportunity to get to know senior PE intimately. We will issue PDH for a total of up to 1.5h, 3.5h in the morning and 5.0h in the afternoon.

[Implementation report]

On September 9, we held a workshop, JSPE Day, which was integrated as JSPE by connecting the Tokyo venue, Kobe venue and Web distribution at the same time. This time, which is the fourth year since the project started, there was one keynote speech on the theme of "transportation and transportation technology" and five all-day seminars by member lecturers.
There are 37 participants (including 4 lecturers and 3 secretariats) at the NSRI Hall at the Tokyo venue, and 13 people (including 2 lecturers and 2 secretariats) at the Motomachi / Hyogo Prefectural Civic Center at the Kobe venue. I got together.Unfortunately, we couldn't arrange the equipment and human resources this year, so we couldn't distribute it on the Web, but a total of 50 participants were the second biggest event after the general meeting.
At the beginning of the morning, we passed PE, read aloud the registrants, and received a voice of joy from the target people at the venue. I think it was a good stimulus for members who are preparing for PE registration. In addition, Mr. Moriyama reported on the Strategic Engineers Salon held on August 8, and suggested that the content of discussions on future JSPE event policies and the event should be lively with the members.
In the first morning lecture, Mr. Nishikubo, Director of JSPE at the Kobe venue, introduced the state of the NSPE General Assembly and NSPE's efforts under the theme of "report of participation in the NSPE Atlanta General Assembly and the role of JSPE", and also about how to be involved as JSPE. I received a suggestion. JSPE, which has a partnership agreement with NSPE, will continue to work closely with NSPE.
In the second lecture in the morning, Mr. Ono, a member of Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation at the Tokyo venue, gave a lecture on the theme of "Aircraft engine market overview and technological trends."It was a great learning experience for engineers who are not familiar with the aircraft field to introduce the jet engine mechanism in an easy-to-understand manner, as well as the development trends of jet engines and the trends of each manufacturer.
In the afternoon, Mr. Adachi of the Japan Automobile Research Institute (JSRI) gave a keynote speech under the title of "Development trends and issues of autonomous driving technology" from the Tokyo venue, and now it has become a hot topic among engineers (even NSPE). He explained about the automatic driving technology that is being used. The various sensors, the technology for judging the information, and the efforts of each manufacturer were introduced, and I was able to get a good idea of the situation in the field where the competition for technological development is fierce. On the other hand, it was well understood that JARI has a large role to play in the field of rule-making that should be tackled by all-Japan cooperation between manufacturers, and that efforts are being made toward international rule-making.
In the second afternoon lecture, Mr. Kawamura, Chairman of JSPE in Kobe, provided a topic on the yellow light lighting standard entitled "Considering Road Signal Ethics Cases in Oregon".In the United States, PE is also involved in signal operation standards, and there was a question about how to think as an engineer when passing safely at intersections that are also life-threatening.
The third lecture in the afternoon was "Introduction of the latest technology trends in elevators" by Mr. Matsuoka, a member of Toshiba Elevator from the Tokyo venue. He introduced not only safety but also trends related to elevator technology development. The next-generation elevator, which can move not only up and down but also left and right, has a great impact on the appearance, and I was able to get a glimpse of the future transportation method with dreams.
The last lecture was "Automation of container terminal" by Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding members from the Tokyo venue. He gave a lecture on basic information on container terminals and introduced trends in automated terminals that are being introduced worldwide. The material originally created for the 90-minute lecture was forced into a 30-minute lecture, but he explained it in a very easy-to-understand manner.
We are very grateful to all the instructors for their cooperation in this event, even though we have no time. JSPE Day is also in its XNUMXth year.As a planning and execution department, we will consider a theme that everyone will be happy to participate in next year.
