Lecture title: Review the origins of project management and engineering ethics
English title: Review of Basic on Project Management and Engineering Ethics

In 2020, a new virus infection occurred worldwide, and ensuring public health and transforming daily lifestyles became new engineering challenges. It is a homework for each engineer, together with the conventional issues of dealing with climate change and further digitization of work (DX, IoT, AI, etc.).
In 2020, there were also major movements in project management standards:

  • The PMBOK Guide, which is scheduled to be revised to the 2021th edition in early 7, has 12 principles of agile project management as the main text, 10 knowledge fields that are the framework of conventional project management, and more than 40 processes are electronically backed up. It was announced that it would turn to
  • PMP test specs are also PMBOK Guide 7thFully revised to match the schedule of, which is expected to be applied in January 2021
  • In March, PMI notified that the PMI registered education provider system would change from the conventional REP to the new ATP, and JSPE postponed the transition to ATP.

The planned full revision of the PMBOK Guide and PMP test specifications is considered necessary in order to respond to the above engineering issues, but the point is how to shift from the knowledge fields and processes that have been familiar for the past 20 years or more. Need to be held down.

In addition, the NSPE BER Case, which continues to take up examples of practical issues in Engineering Esix, also shows examples of how to deal with issues associated with the further digitization of work.

From this point of view, this course will look back on the transition of project management standards over the past 20 years, and will carry out the second reading of the NSPE BER Case, which was conducted for the first time in November last year.

(Lecture content: Scheduled)

  • What engineers should do for new daily life and further digitization
  • What is the difference between operations and agile projects?
  • Participant discussion on changes in project management standards
  • Participant discussion on several related NSPE BER Cases
