Among them, a passage from the Diet of Kojiro Hirayama in 1957, "In Japan, there is no social status as a first-class engineer like doctors and lawyers. Successful engineers are first-class engineers. It does not mean that you will become a vice minister, a secretary, a president, or an executive. It is a misnomer to abandon technology, but it is a very regrettable point. "Even now, there is still a tendency that it is difficult to advance without becoming a manager, and it was an impressive content for JSPE, which aims to improve the status of engineers in Japan. There was also a lively question and answer session regarding the status of university education related to engineer ethics.
