John Paul Baracas会員を講師に迎え、Introduction to Thermal Cracking of Concreteという演題でご発表いただきました。コンクリートに温度ひび割れが発生するメカニズムや有限要素法でひび割れ幅を予測する手法、ひび割れの発生を抑制する方法などについて、主に英語で、ところどころ日本語も混ぜながらご説明いただき、議論しました。
近年JSPEには日本人以外の会員も増えてきておりますので、英語でのセミナーは近いうちにまた実施したいと考えております。
